Matthew Chase Levy is a Californian business person, having created hundreds of jobs through companies he's founded or invested in. A resident of Oakland, San Francisco Bay Area, he is a trustee of The Washington Institute, Francon Foundation, and Blue Capital, a leading investor in advanced energy and sustainable power. A graduate of UCLA, Matthew spent more than 20 years in California. With a MSc and PhD in physics from Rice University, he is all-in on science and technology being the way to a more prosperous state and country for all. He started his career working 5 years at California's Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, known for fusion and defense, and also was a visiting scholar at Stanford. He is a believer in fusion energy and fusion policies, bringing people and ideas together to create a positive energy future for all. Matthew's international experience includes work at Oxford, where he was the first American physicist Newton International Fellow in the Royal Society, an organization founded 365 years ago. Born in Texas, his wife Debbie G. Senesky is a professor at Stanford and 11 year old Tilda loves horses.
